Structural and mechanical engineering for kids? You bet! Our new Junior Engineers camps focus on all manner of tasks from investigating how gears, levers and pulleys work to building bridges, scyscrapers and even pyramids. By working on both individual and team projects, children discover the value of collaboration and teamwork, in the process creating some mightily impressive projects.
We supply enough LEGO at each camp to create 10-foot tall skyscrapers, miniature cities and lots more. Children also enjoy the freedom to create inventions of their own during free play sessions throughout the week, using the skills developed to further their LEGO® building techniques.
Camps start at 10am and finish at 2pm each day. Children work in teams of 2-3 on a variety of projects throughout the week, as well as camp-based projects. Following a curriculum devised by Learnit, they start off with simple projects on Day One, learning about the basics of building, structural strength, design and more. As the camp progresses, they develop these core skills to work on more complex and larger projects.
LEGO and creativity go hand in hand. We love working with children to create fantastic projects. Giving them the freadom to create to their hearts desire while discovering basic engineering principles and igniting an awarness of how the world around them works.
